Oilers Complete GVSU Last Chance

The University of Findlay men and women's outdoor track and field teams sent several throwers to Allendale, Mich. on May 11 to compete in the Grand Valley State University Last Chance.

On the women's side, sophomore Paige Emnett finished second in the shot put with a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying heave of 14.18 meters. She also placed fifth in the discus at 43.03 meters.

On the men's side, senior Javian Martin was fourth in the discus with a throw of 48.78 meters, senior Dequan Lovell took fifth in the event at 45.83, and junior Max Prenger was seventh in the event with a mark of 43.23 meters.
