Oilers Earn Major Awards & Place 30 on All-Conference Team

2021 Outdoor Track All-Conference Team

The University of Findlay men and women's outdoor track and field teams had 30 athletes earn all-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) honors as the league office unveiled their annual postseason honors on June 9. The Oilers also won three major awards as Blaine Maag was tabbed the G-MAC Women's Coach of the Year, Noah Fisher was voted G-MAC Men's Freshman of the Year, and Paige Emnett earned G-MAC Female Freshman of the Year honors.

Maag led the women's team to a conference title after recording 208 points at the league championship, which was 41 points better than second place Hillsdale College. The women also won nine individual championships during the meet as well.

Fisher, who was named the G-MAC Freshman of the Meet and first team all-conference as well, earned his honor by winning the 5,000-meter at the conference championship while Emnett, who was named Field Athlete and Freshman of the Meet, won both the discus and hammer throw. Emnett also earned first team all-conference accolades for the Oilers as well.

In addition, junior Michaela Butler, sophomore Bethany Smith, junior Hayley Robinett, junior Gabrielle Lawrence, sophomore Simone Green, and senior Savannah Amato were named first team all-conference for the women while junior Xavier Marable, senior Austin Combs, and sophomore Keandre Marlow picked up first team all-conference honors for the men.

Butler won both the 100-meter and 200-meter at the conference meet while Smith captured the gold in the 400-meter. Robinett won the 800-meter, Lawrence won the 10,000-meter, Green won the long jump and triple jump, and Amato was victorious in the pole vault.

On the men's side, Marable was the winner in the 400-meter, Combs, who captured G-MAC Field Athlete of the Meet honors, won the discus and hammer throw, and Marlow was the champion in the decathlon.

Both teams had six individuals earn second team all-conference honors while the men's team picked up five third team all-conference accolades. The women also had two athletes earn third team honors.

On the women's side, freshman Kylie Ray, freshman Madison Myers, sophomore Morgan England, senior Aubreah Manns, senior Jenna Shipman, and sophomore Brynlee Hanneman secured second team all-conference honors while junior Brooke Mangas and sophomore Lindsey Kluesener were voted third team.

On the men's side, senior Daniel Agbola, sophomore Cameron Stine, senior Martin Etsey, junior Sterling Mungro, freshman Isaac Webb, and junior Lane Kolb were tabbed second team while freshman Alex Mutchler, freshman Orry Willems, sophomore Michael Nichols, junior Ethan Pensante, and sophomore Josh Verhoff picked up third team all-conference honors.
