Oilers Earn Academic Honors from USTFCCCA

The University of Findlay men and women's track and field programs were both honored for their academic achievements on July 23 by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The women's team earned all-academic honors by achieving a grade point average of 3.48 while the men did the same with a 3.18 GPA.

Additionally, the women's squad had eight individual earn all-academic honors while the men had 11. On the women's side, senior Savannah Amato, sophomore Paige Emnett, sophomore Morgan England, sophomore Simone Green, sophomore Lindsey Kluesener, junior Gabrielle Lawrence, junior Brooke Mangas, and junior Hayley Robinett earned the honor. Senior Austin Combs, senior Martin Etsey, freshman Noah Fisher, junior Xavier Marable, sophomore Keandre Marlow, senior Javian Martin, freshman Alex Mutchler, sophomore Michael Nichols, sophomore Josh Verhoff, freshman Isaac Webb, and freshman Orry Willems qualified for the award.

To qualify for the team awards, a program must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. To qualify for the individual awards, a student-athlete must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
