Simone Green Earns G-MAC Athlete of the Week

Findlay, Ohio - On Wednesday, Jan. 19, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its weekly track and field Athlete of the Week awards. Findlay junior Simone Green has been named as the women's Field Athlete of the Week following a standout performance at last weekend's tri-meet with Ashland and Hillsdale.

Green's top performance of the day came in the triple jump where she took first place with a distance of 11.83m. That jump was good for an NCAA provisional in the event and set a new G-MAC record. Green also won the long jump by reaching a distance of 5.43m to pick up the sweep in the sand pits.
