Women Finish First | Men Fourth at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open

Cedarville, Ohio– The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team competed today, Mar. 26 in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open. The women's team finished first while the men's team finished in fourth place. 

Women's Results 

On the track, junior Kenedi Hayden picked up a third place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.89. Senior Hayley Robinett took first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.08. Following Robinett was sophomore Cassidy Baran who took third in the event with a time of 1:03.70. Sophomore Hannah Rybicki finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13:04. Rybicki then finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26:14. Freshman Cassie Warner took third in the event with a time of 26.55.  

On the field side, sophomore Kelsey Kennon finished second in the women's shot put with her best throw of 12.24m (40'2.00") coming on her third attempt. The Oilers had two top finishers in the women's discus throw. Freshman Trista Fintel took the top spot with a throw of 44.06m (144'6.00") while sophomore Grace Hoffman took third with a throw of 39.56m (129'9.00"). 

The women's pole vault once again found success. Findlay's top finisher was junior Morgan England who finished first in the event by clearing 3.90m (12'9.50"). Finishing behind her, in fourth place, was senior Meadow Cromer who cleared 3.75m (12'3.50"), following Cromer was junior Lindsey Kluesener who also cleared 3.75m (12'3.50") and took fifth. All three met the NCAA provisional mark.  

Men's Results 

On the field side, senior Gabe Makin finished second in the pole vault. He cleared 4.82m (15'9.75") which meets the NCAA provisional mark. Freshman Gabriel Clement took fourth in the high jump clearing 1.70m (5'7.00"). Senior Max Pregner took third in the hammer throw with his best throw of 51.74m (169'9.00") coming on his second attempt. Sophomore Hunter Tresnan-Reighard finished second in the discus throw with a throw of 45.70m (149'11.00").  

On the track, the Oilers best finish came in the 200-meter dash. Sophomore Hassan Sesay finished fifth with a time of 22.68.   

 

The Oilers will be back in action Apr. 1 and 2 at the Oliver Nikoloff Invite in Cincinnati, Ohio.
