Fintel and Ray Earn Athlete of the Week Honors

Findlay, Ohio – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) released their selections for Athlete of the Week on Monday, Jan. 16 and, in track and field, Findlay's Trista Fintel and Kylie Ray each picked up the award for their performances at the Hillsdale Tri-Meet last Saturday.

Sophomore Trista Fintel eared Female Field Athlete of the Week after she won the shot put with an NCAA provisional distance throw of 15.09m. That throw is the longest of the season by anyone on the Oilers and is also a collegiate-best for Fintel. This is the Deshler, Ohio native's first Athlete of the Week honor of her career.

Junior Kylie Ray earned Female Track Athlete of the Week after she took first place in the 200m dash with a time of 25.66 seconds. She later won the 60m hurdles race with a time of 8.81, also an NCAA provisional mark. Her 200 time was a career-best. This is the first Athlete of the Week honor of Ray's career.
