Oilers Showcase Talents at Tiffin Carnival

Results

Tiffin, Ohio- The University of Findlay track teams headed down U.S. Route 224 to the Tiffin Carnival, a meet hosted by both Tiffin University and Heidelberg University. The Oilers competed in day one today, Friday, April 14. The meet showcases talents from every NCAA division.

Women Notable Finishes

  • Nicole Fispaw (So.) / Taylor Ivory (So.) / Kylie Ray (Jr.) / Jordan Taylor (Jr.)- Won the 4x100m with a time of 46.15. This meets the NCAA provisional mark.

  • Hayley Robinett (Sr.)- Finished fifth in the 800m Championship final with an NCAA provisional time of 2:11.86.

  • Bethany Smith (Sr.)- Came in fourth in the 400m with a mark of 56.85.

    • Taylor Ivory (So.)- Finished fifth in the same event with a time of 57.35.

  • Jordan Taylor (Jr.)- Was runner-up in the 100m with a time of 11.84- just 0.14 behind the winner. Her time meets the NCAA provisional standard.

  • Kylie Ray (Jr.)- Won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.42- an NCAA provisional standard. Her time is the fourth best in Division II this season.

  • Ava Beam (So.)- Finished second in the 3000m steeplechase with a mark of 11:31.57.

  • Claire Bachman (Fr.)- Took fourth in the 5000m with a time of 20:01.66.

  • Alexa Fries (Sr.)- Came in second in the high jump with a mark of 1.64m.

  • Meadow Cromer (Sr.)- Finished third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.75m- an NCAA provisional mark.

  • Simone Green (Sr.)- Won the triple jump with a mark of 11.77m.

    • Jessica Hoban (So.)- Took third in the triple jump with a distance of 11.06m.

  • Trista Fintel (So.)- Came in fourth in the elite discus with a mark of 43.60m.

    • Brynlee Hanneman (Sr.)- Finished second in the discus with a throw of 41.98m.

    • Paige Emnett (Sr.)- Took third in the same event with a mark of 41.49m.

Men Notable Finishes

  • Josh Verhoff (Sr.) / Ethan Pensante (Sr.) / Kemari Robinson (Fr.) / KJ Upshaw (Fr.)- Won the 4x100m relay with a time of 40.70- an NCAA provisional time.

  • Xavier Marable (Sr.)- Won the 400m with an NCAA provisional time of 47.44.

  • Nick Rice (Sr.)- Finished third in the 400m hurdles with a mark of 53.67.

  • Alex Mutchler (Jr.)- Took fifth in the pole vault, clearing 4.67m.

  • Eliot Cummings (Jr.)- Won the triple jump with a mark of 14.51m.

  • Eliot Cummings (Jr.)- Won the long jump with a distance of 7.54m- an NCAA provisional standard. His mark is the fifth best in Division II this season.

    • Chris Campbell (So.)- Finished second in the same event with a jump of 7.15m.

  • Colin Warner (So.)- Took second in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.63m.

    • Leyton Nossa (Fr.)- Finished third in the same event with a throw of 54.70m.

    • Zac Belanich (Jr.)- Recorded a throw of 52.80m to take fifth. 

The Oilers will conclude the Tiffin Carnival tomorrow, April 15.
