Findlay Finishes Tiffin Carnival

Tiffin, Ohio- The University of Findlay track teams headed down U.S. Route 224 to the Tiffin Carnival, a meet hosted by both Tiffin University and Heidelberg University. The Oilers completed the event, Saturday, April 15.

Notable Finishes: Women

• Kylie Ray (Jr.)- Finished second in the 100m hurdles with a mark of 14.64. 

  • Maddie Alexander (Jr.)- Took fifth in the same event with a time of 16.96.

• Nicole Fishpaw (So.) / Taylor Ivory (So.) / Kylie Ray (Jr.) / Jordan Taylor (Jr.)- Won the 4x100 with a time of 46.11- an NCAA provisional mark.

• Bethany Smith (Sr.) / Peyton Heitmeyer (Fr.) / Taylor Ivory (So.) / Kylie Ray (Jr.)- Took second in the 4x400 relay, clocking in at 3:49.85.

• Alexa Fries (Sr.)- Finished second in the high jump with a mark of 1.65m.

  • Kassandra Stine (So.) finished third in the same event, clearing 1.60m.

• Meadow Cromer (Sr.)- Won the pole vault, clearing with an NCAA provisional mark of 3.84m.

  • Natalie Newton (Fr.)- Came in fourth in the same event with a mark of 3.59m.

• Madison Myers (Jr.)- Came in fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.37m.

• Jessica Hoban (So.)- Won the triple jump with a mark of 11.22m.

  • Madison Myers (Jr.)- Finished third with a jump of 10.56m.

• Trista Fintel (So.)- Won the elite shot put with a mark of 15.38m. A mark well beyond the NCAA provisional mark.

  • Paige Emnett (Sr.)- Took fourth in the same event with a throw of 14.43m- meeting the NCAA provisional mark.

Notable Finishes: Men

• Josh Verhoff (Sr.)- Recorded a time of 20.81 in the 200m- meeting the NCAA provisional standard.

  • Kemari Robinson (Fr.)- Finished the same event in a time of 21.60.

• Trey Boblitt (Fr.)- Won the high jump with a mark of 1.85m.

• Connor Douglass (Fr.)- Came in fourth in the pole vault, clearing an NCAA provisional mark of 4.85m.

• Chris Campbell (So.)- Took second in the long jump with a mark of 6.83m.

  • Mason Smith (So.)- Finished fourth in the same event with a jump of 6.38m.

The Oilers will be back in action April 21 as they head to the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by The Ohio State University.
