Oilers Participate at Ashland Alumni Open

Ashland, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field teams send athletes to the Ashland University Alumni Open on Saturday, April 29. 

In the women's 200m dash, sophomore Jordan Taylor took first place, setting a facility record with a time of 24.09, also good enough to meet the NCAA provisional in the event. 

Senior Meadow Cromer participated in the women's pole vault and reached a height of 4.03m, giving her runner-up in the event. That height is good enough to meet the NCAA provisional. Freshman Natalie Newton also participated and reached a height of 3.58m, finishing in a tie for tenth. 

In men's pole vault, junior Alex Mutchler took eighth, clearing a height of 4.86m, surpassing the NCAA provisional standard. 

Women's high jump saw senior Alexa Fries take third place. She cleared her second height of 1.58m on her first attempt. 

Junior Cameron Stine took part in the men's high jump and finished sixth. His best jump measured 1.86m, which he cleared on his first attempt. Freshman Trey Boblitt took tenth with a 1.81m jump.
