Bio

Jake Glass enters his third season as an assistant coach at the University of Findlay in 2023-24, serving as the team's throws coach.

The Findlay throwers found great success in 2023, under Glass' leadership. The campaign was highlighted by Trista Fintel who captured the 2023 Division II Indoor National Championship title in the women's shot put. Fintel went on to capture the Midwest Region Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA. Her other accomplishments include first team all-conference, first team all-region, and first team all-American. Throughout both the indoor and outdoor seasons, he coached his athletes to eight all-conference honors. 

In 2021-22, Glass had four throwers quilify for the NCAA DII National Championships, all four were tabbed all-American. Notably, Glass led senior Austin Combs to a runner-up finish in the men's hammer throw at the NCAA DII Outdoor National Championship.

Prior to Findlay, Glass was in Topeka, Kan. coaching at Washburn University, where he guided the throwers to multiple school records and all-conference finishers.

Glass is a 2020 graduate of Ashland University, where he was a four-year member of the track and field team graduating with a bachelor's of science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. While a member of the Ashland track and field team, he was a three-time qualifier for the NCAA Division II national championships in the shot put, going twice in 2018 in both the indoor and outdoor championships, and was also a qualifier at the 2019 outdoor championships.

At Ashland, he was a member of the 2019 men's outdoor national championship team and part of the 2018 team that finished fourth.

Individually he finished 12th in the shot put at the 2019 NCAA outdoor championships, earning second-team all-American honors. He was a 2019 USTFCCCA all-region selection and was the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's 2019 outdoor champion.

He is a native of Louisville, Kentucky.
