Oilers Host Hillsdale on Senior Day

The Oilers will close out the 2017-18 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) regular season on Feb. 24 against Hillsdale. The contest, which will be senior day, is slated to tip at 3pm in Croy Gymnasium.

Senior Day

The Oilers will recognize their seniors before the start of the Oilers game against Hillsdale.

Series Information

The Oilers and Chargers are currently tied at 21-21 in their all-time series dating back to the 1985-86 campaign when Findlay claimed a 74-47 victory over Hillsdale.

The Chargers claimed a 75-67 win over Findlay in Hillsdale earlier this season.

Findlay made 27-of-60 from the floor for 45% and made just 4-of-20 (20%) from beyond the arc, their lowest percentage from deep in a game this season.

Anna Hintz led all scorers with a 23-point performance on 10-of-14 from the field. She added five rebounds and two steals in the loss. No other player for Findlay reached double figures.

Lynsey Englebrecht chipped in nine points, two rebounds, and there assists while Haley Horstman and Christa Puthoff each scored seven points. Horstman snagged four rebounds.

Elissa Ellerbrock was the team's leader on the glass, picking up seven boards to go along with four points.

Findlay

The Oilers are 19-6 on the season with an 16-5 record in conference games. They are 8-2 at home this season.

Junior forward Anna Hintz leads the team and is averaging 18.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. She is also shooting 55.5 percent from the floor.

Hintz ranks fourth in the league in scoring and fifth in the league in rebounding. Her field goal percentage is the third-best mark in the Great Midwest.

Senior guard Lynsey Englebrecht is averaging 14.8 points per game and ranks second in the league in made three pointers with 91 on the year. She is also shooting 44.2 percent from long range, the second-best mark in the league. Englebrecht recently set a school record for most made three pointers in a season, topping the previous mark of 78, which was set by Trisha Lauck during the 1997-98 campaign.

Senior guard Haley Horstman is also averaging in double figures and sports averages of 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

The Oilers are scoring 77.2 points per game and holding their opponents to 64.2 points per outing. They are also hitting 38.1 percent of their three point attempts, the second-best mark in the conference, and holding their opponents to a 30.8 percent shooting clip from behind the three point line.

The Chargers are 16-9 on the season with a 14-7 record in league play. They are coming off of a 103-37 win over Ohio Valley last weekend.

Makenna Ott leads a balanced offensive attack at 14.5 points per game while Allie Dittmer is scoring 14.2 points per game and grabbing 8.8 rebounds per contest on the year.

Brittany Gray is scoring 12.5 points per game, Allie Dewire is averaging 11.9 points per outing and Maddy Reed is contributing 7.6 points per contest.
