Hintz Earns Second Team All-Region

D2CCA Release

Findlay, Ohio – On Monday, Mar. 12, the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) released their 2018 Women's Basketball All-Midwest Region selections. University of Findlay junior Anna Hintz earned a spot on the second team making her the first player since Kayla Brown in 2012-13 to earn D2CCA All-Region and just the second player in program history to win the award.

A native of North Fairfield, Ohio, Hintz put together one of the most productive seasons in Oilers history while helping lead Findlay to a 22-8 record and to the NCAA DII Championship Tournament for just the third time in program history. On the year, Hintz averaged 18.4 points per game while shooting 55.1% from the floor. She also led the team with 8.6 rebounds per contest. She is the first Oilers player to average 18 or more points per game in the NCAA Division II era of the program and has the most rebounds per game in a season at Findlay since Megan Sellers pulled in 9.0 reb/g in 2008-09.

One of the finalists for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Player of the Year, Hintz scored 553 points this season, the third-most points scored in a season in school history. She currently has 968 points scored, just 32 points shy of becoming the 22nd player in program history to reach the coveted 1,000-point plateau.

In the 2017-18 season, Hintz put together nine double-doubles, had a career-high 16 rebounds against Walsh on March 2, and a career-high 31 points against nationally-ranked Cedarville on Dec. 16.
