Series Information

The Oilers and Dragons have played 59 times with Findlay holding a 48-11 record in those matchups. Findlay won both games last season including a nail-biting, one-point win in January, 67-66.

Tiffin has not beaten Findlay since Jan. 26, 2017, in Tiffin, a 77-71 win for the Dragons.

The two teams first met in the 1984-85 season in the season-opener. Findlay won that game 77-36.

Findlay

The Oilers got off to a hot start to the season, scoring 88 points in their opener against Hillsdale last week en route to a 1-0 start to the year. A loss two days later to Cedarville has the team at 1-1 heading into the third contest of the year, a matchup against Tiffin.

Findlay has been led offensively by three juniors, Bridget Landin, Amber Schweiger, and Sydney Kin. Landin is scoring 17.5 ppg and had a career-high 27 in the season-opener last week while Schweiger tied her career-high that day as well, scoring 20. Kin, a first-team selection last season, is scoring 14.5 ppg to round out the Oilers' double-digit scorers.

Landin leads the squad at 9.0 rebounds per game including almost four offensive rebounds per game, while Kin is right there, collecting 8.0 rebounds per game. Schweiger is collecting 5.0 rebounds from her guard spot, leads the team in assists at 3.5 per game, and is tied for the team lead at 1.5 steals per game.

Tiffin

The Dragons were picked seventh in the preseason poll after finishing seventh in the standings last season. Despite that, Tiffin is 2-0 and atop the Great Midwest Standings early and have won seven of their last nine games dating back to last season, including a regular-season ending double-overtime win over #17 Kentucky Wesleyan.

This season began with a 65-56 win at home against Ohio Dominican and then followed that up with a win on the road against Malone. Amidst the chaos of the currently scheduling system, Tiffin's game against Findlay Friday will be their third this week and they finish with their fourth game of the week on Saturday against Ursuline.

Junior Aarion Nichols is leading the Dragons offensively, scoring 19 points in each of her first two games. Nichols is shooting 40% from the floor and is taking an average of nearly 18 shots per game. Her rebounding and assist numbers are also tops on the team at 11 reb/g and 3 ast/g.

Sophomore Savanah Richards is also in double figures in the scoring column, chipping in 13.5 points per game including 16 in Wednesday's win at Malone. Richards grabs 4.5 rebounds per game and is tied with Nichols for the team-lead in assists at 3.0.

Tiffin's final double-digit threat offensively is sophomore Jada Tate who scores 10.5 ppg. Tate secures 9.0 rebounds per game but is turnover prone, coughing it up an average of four times per contest.
