Oilers Come Up Short at Ursuline

The University of Findlay women's basketball team fell to 3-3 on the season with a 76-64 loss at Ursuline College on Jan. 2. The Oilers also have a 3-3 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contests this year.

The Oilers shot 39.3 percent (24-of-61) from the floor while the Arrows converted 44.4 percent (28-of-63) of their field goal attempts. The Arrows also held a 42-33 advantage on the boards.

Junior forward Sydney Kin paced Findlay with 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting. She also added six rebounds and a steal.

Junior guard Amber Schweiger also reached double figures with 14 points to go along with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Sophomore guard Elizabeth Flynn added seven points off the bench while junior forward Bridget Landin had three points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Bekah Green and Alyssa Evans led the Arrows with 17 points apiece.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Jan. 5 when they travel to Columbus, Ohio to face Ohio Dominican University at 3pm.
