Kin Earns G-MAC Athlete of the Week

Findlay, Ohio – Junior Sydney Kin has been named Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday, Jan. 11 after a trio of outstanding performances.

For the week, Kin averaged 28.7 points per game and 13.7 rebounds per game while shooting 69% from the floor (36-of-52). Of the 41 rebounds Kin grabbed this week, 20 of them came on the offensive glass which helped lead Findlay to a 2-1 record including an overtime road win over the defending G-MAC Champion Walsh Cavaliers.

Kin began the week with a 30 point, 19 rebound performance on the road at Ohio Dominican which was the first 30-19 game in almost 18 years at Findlay. Those 19 rebounds established a new career-high for Kin. That game was followed up by a 25 point, 8 rebound game against Malone. Sunday capped the week with 31 point, 14 rebound effort at Walsh.

Kin's 86 points in the past three games are the most points in any three game stretch by a player in the Jim Wiedie era of the program.

This is Sydney's fourth G-MAC Athlete of the Week honor of her career and is the second for the Oilers this season.
