Series Information

Findlay and Ohio Valley have played eight times including their first matchup which happened in the 1998-99 season, a 71-63 win for the Oilers. Findlay is a perfect 8-0 against the Scots and, since joining the G-MAC, have beaten OVU by an average of 34 points per game.

Findlay

It was a tough road trip for the Oilers last week as they took losses at the hands of Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene to fall to 5-6 on the year. Findlay sits in seventh in the current G-MAC standings.

Part of the struggle early in the year has been on the defensive end where the Oilers ranked tenth in the league, allowing 80 points per game. Only Trevecca Nazarene (83.7) and Ohio Valley (100.3) are allowing more. The Oilers have also allowed more three-point attempts (407) and makes (127) than any team in the league. Ursuline's 95 threes allowed and Tiffin's 274 threes attempted against are the next closest marks.

However, Findlay is fifth in both scoring (77.4 ppg), field goal percentage (.438), and three point percentage (.335) which has helped. The Oilers also rank third in the conference with 40 rebounds per game, including 10.5 offensive rebounds per game, and leads the league in blocked shots with 4.27 per game. The Oilers also get to the line at a high clip and have made 202 free throws this year, the most in the country.

Junior Sydney Kin has officially taken over the scoring lead in the G-MAC, scoring 22.4 points per game and so far this season has made 91 field goals, the most in the nation. That boost in scoring average has been a result of a red hot stretch of games that include 25 or more points in six of her previous seven games. Since Dec. 19, Kin is scoring 26 ppg and is shooting 62% from the floor. The Carey, Ohio native also ranks third in the G-MAC in rebounding at 10.3 per game while her 41 offensive rebounds rank first.

Findlay's other big time scorer has been junior Bridget Landin who is scoring 14.5 ppg and grabbing 8.8 rebounds. Landin has had a double-double in three of her previous four games.
