Oilers Fall at Saginaw Valley

The University of Findlay women's basketball team fell 83-52 to Saginaw Valley State University on Nov. 13 in University Center, Mich. The loss gives the Oilers a 0-2 record on the year.

The Oilers shot 44.4 percent (16-of-36) from the field and made 5-of-9 (55.6%) of their three point attempts. The Cardinals meanwhile made 47.6 percent (30-of-63) of their shot attempts and connected on 47.2 percent (17-of-36) of their three point tries. Saginaw Valley State also forced the Oilers into 27 turnovers and recorded 18 steals in the game.

Senior forward Sydney Kin led the Oilers with nine points and five rebounds while senior forward Bridget Landin had eight points and two boards.

Freshman guard Chloe Callahan contributed eight points and three steals off the bench while sophomore guard Kate Ellis had seven points.

The Cardinals were led by Maddie Maloney's 19 points.
