The University of Findlay women's basketball team claimed a 77-62 over Cedarville University on March 1 during the opening round of the 2022 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament in Niekamp Arena. The win gives the Oilers a 15-14 record on the season.
The Oilers shot 53.4 percent (31-of-58) from the floor and held a 40-28 advantage on the boards in the victory as five players reached double figures.
Senior forward Sydney Kin led the way with 19 points and eight rebounds while junior guard Lauren Hapgood had 15 points.
Senior forward Bridget Landin stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and three assists while junior guard Serena Sammarone had 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Senior forward Paige Bellman also reached double figures with ten points to go along with eight rebounds.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Allison Mader's 19 points.
The Oilers will now travel to fourth-ranked Ashland University for a semifinal game against the Eagles. The contest is scheduled to take place on March 4 at 5:30pm.
