Oilers Head to 4th-Ranked Ashland for Semifinals

The Oilers will travel to Ashland, Ohio on March 4 to face fourth-ranked Ashland University in the semifinal round of the 2022 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

Series Information

The Oilers trail 32-17 in the all-time series against Ashland dating back to the 1990-91 campaign when the Eagles claimed a 58-42 win over Findlay.

The Eagles swept the regular season series against the Oilers this year, winning 67-60 at home and 74-68 in Niekamp Arena.

In the Oilers road loss, Sydney Kin led Findlay with 16 points on 7-of-17 from the field. She also grabbed 10 rebounds to pick up the double-double, and added three steals and a block.

Lauren Hapgood scored 14 for Findlay while shooting 4-of-10 including a pair of threes. Hapgood also had four assists. Amber Schweiger led the team in that category, dishing out five helpers.

In the Oilers home loss, Kin led the Oilers with 20 points, ten rebounds, and six steals while Hapgood had 13 points.

Kate Ellis came off the bench to provide 12 points while Schweiger had nine points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Bridget Landin nearly reached double figures and finished with seven points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Findlay

The Oilers are 15-14 on the year and have been led by Sydney Kin's 17.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Bridget Landin has also had a good season and sports averages of 11.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

The Eagles are 26-2 on the season. They have been led by Annie Roshak's 16.6 points per game. Karlee Pireu (13.5), Macy Spielman (12.9), and Hallie Heidemann (12.1) are also averaging in double figures.
