D2CCA Release

Findlay, Ohio - The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) announced its selections for the women's basketball all-Midwest region teams on Friday, March 11. University of Findlay senior Sydney Kin was selected as a second-team honoree after another outstanding season in the Orange and Black.

Kin, a three time first team all-conference performer, put together a senior season in which she scored 17.3 points per game, which ranked third in the conference, and shot 60% from the floor, the best in the conference and sixth-best in the country. She also ranked third in the G-MAC at 9.3 rebounds per game and led the conference with 40 blocks this season for an average of 1.3 per game.

The Carey, Ohio native ranks second all-time at Findlay with 1,603 points scored and now owns three of the top eight scoring seasons in program history, scoring 493 points in her sophomore and junior seasons, eighth all-time, and scoring 519 this season, which ranks sixth all-time. Her 279 rebounds this season rank fourth in program history for a single season while her 815 career rebounds rank third. She is just the second player in program history to score at least 1,500 points and grab more than 800 rebounds. Kin also ranks fourth all-time at Findlay with 127 blocks in her career.

The standout forward is just the third player in program history to earn D2CCA all-region status, joining Anna Hintz (2018, 2019) and Kayla Brown (2013).
