Horstman Hired as Assistant Basketball Coach

The University of Findlay department of athletics has announced the hiring of Haley Horstman as their new assistant women's basketball coach.

Horstman comes to the Oilers after spending last year as an assistant at Tiffin University where she helped lead the program to a 13-15 record.  Prior to her tenure at Tiffin, Horstman spent two seasons as the graduate assistant coach for Bluffton University where she helped coach the Beavers to a 28-19 record. 

A 2018 graduate from the University of Findlay, Haley was a four-year varsity letter winner for the women's basketball team.

As a member of the Oilers women's basketball team, Horstman finished her career with 1,185 points, 368 rebounds, 260 assists, and 128 steals. A four-year starter for Findlay, Horstman led the Oilers to the G-MAC Tournament championship game as a senior and an appearance in the NCAA Division II National Tournament.

The New Knoxville, Ohio, native earned an undergraduate degree from Findlay in Sports Business and Marketing before earning her MBA from Bluffton University.
