Oilers to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Game

Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's basketball team will take the court against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets Feb. 18 at 1:00pm. Saturday's game is Findlay's "Bake a Difference Game" to support breast cancer awareness. The goal of the team is to raise awareness and to celebrate and honor women and their families who courageously are fighting the disease and have fought the disease.

The Oilers will be selling baked goods at the door. There will also be a raffle for various baskets with all proceeds going to charity.

Attendees are encouraged to complement their orange and black with pink- since pink is the color that represents breast cancer- in honor of anyone impacted by the disease.

Comment from Head Coach Michele Durand

The breast cancer game is one I have done my entire coaching career. We, as a team, believe anything we can do to bring awareness and resources will help the cause. I also believe it is very important that our players participate in something bigger than themselves. They will be making baked goods to sell and we will be raffling off some really nice baskets. I hope people will come out and support not only our team but this important cause.
