Oilers Drop Final Game to Hillsdale

Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay women's basketball team fell 89-73 to Hillsdale College on Feb. 25 in their final game of the season. The loss gives the Oilers a 7-21 record on the season with a 4-16 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Chargers were on fire from three point range during the whole game and ended the contest by making an astonishing 17-of-26 (65.4%) attempts from behind the line. They also made 49.2 percent (32-of-65) of their field goal attempts while the Oilers converted 44.6 percent (29-of-65) of their shots during the contest.

Junior Kate Ellis led the Oilers with 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting while freshman Alyssa Ziehler had 16 points and six rebounds.

Senior Valerie Muhlenkamp recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while senior Amber Schweiger posted ten points, four steals, and three assists.

The Chargers were led by Lauren McDonald's 22 points on the strength of a 6-for-7 performance from three point range. Caitlin Splain added 18 points while Grace Touchette had 17.
