Petty Leads Bing-Beall after Day 1

The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently in fourth place at the William Bing-Beall Classic, which wrapped up first round action on Oct. 11 at the Findlay Country Club. The Oilers shot a 317 on Sunday, seven strokes off the lead.

Senior Kasey Petty led the Oilers on day one and is tied for first at the tournament with a 74 while junior Shelby Warner is tied for eighth with a 77.

Freshman Samantha Hatter, freshman Makenzie Torres and sophomore Courtney Piatt all fired 83's for the Oilers and are tied for 26th at the tournament.

Freshman Mikaela Hickey (84), senior Hannah Schneider (88), sophomore Haley Gray (89), junior Taylor Tweed (90) and sophomore Erin Scoby (95) are also competing for Findlay.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow.
