Oilers Lead Tournament at G-MAC Fall Preview
Owensboro, Kentucky- The University of Findlay women's golf team competed at The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Kentucky on Monday, September 16 in the Great Midwest Fall Preview. The Oilers hold the lead by 14 shots after the first 18 holes of competition. The Oilers also have three players tied for first place individually.
Meredith Wipper, Kristina Kniesly, and Danbi Kim were all able to put together the best rounds of the day by all the players in the field. Each of them shot 72 (E) for the first round of play and hold a first place tie.
Jill Schmitmeyer and Mackenzie Keenoy competed for the Oilers as well. They shot rounds of 78 (+6), good for T11 with 18 holes to play.
The final round continues on Tuesday, September 17 at The Pearl Club. The Oilers look to capture their first tournament victory of the year.
