Wipper, Kniesly, Schmitmeyer Earn All-Region Honors

The University of Findlay women's golf team had three athletes earn all-East Region honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on April 20. Senior Meredith Wipper, junior Kristina Kniesly, and sophomore Jill Schmitmeyer earned the accolade, making up three of the ten spots on the all-region team.

Wipper earns all-region honors for the third time in her career, tying former teammate Makenzie Torres for the most all-region honors in Findlay's history. During the 2019-20 season, Wipper produced a scoring average of 74.55, the third-lowest in school history. Her scoring average also ranked 35th among all NCAA Division II women's golfers this season.

Kniesly picked up her second straight all-region accolade after recording a 74.36 scoring average during the 2019-20 campaign, the second-lowest in school history. Her scoring average ranked 30th among all NCAA Division II women's golfers as well.

Schmitmeyer picked up her first all-region honor after producing a scoring average of 75.36, the fifth-best mark in program history. Her scoring average also ranked 67th among all NCAA Division II women's golfers.
