#6 Oilers in 3rd After Day 2
The 6th-ranked University of Findlay women's golf team fired a 311 on the second day of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate on March 15 at the Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tenn. The Oilers are in third place with a 36-round total of 611 (300, 311).
Senior Kristina Kniesly and junior Danbi Kim led the Oilers on day two as they each posted a round of 76. Kniesly is currently in seventh place at the tournament with a 150 (74, 76) while Kim is tied for 24th with a 158 (82, 76).
Junior Jill Schmitmeyer carded a 78 on Tuesday and is ninth overall with a 152 (74, 78) while senior Meredith Wipper had an 81 and is tied for 15th with a 155 (74, 81).
Freshman Gabby Woods also posted an 81 on the second day of competition and is tied for 28th with a 159 (78, 81).
The third and final round will take place tomorrow.
