The University of Findlay women's golf team's run at the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championship came to a close on May 14 at the TPC of Michigan as they were defeated 3-2 by St. Mary's in the quarterfinal round of match play.

Senior Meredith Wipper and freshman Gabby Woods secured the Oilers two victories as Woods won by five and Wipper won by two. Woods match with Jordyn Wray was never in doubt as she held a lead of nine through nine holes and was up nine with only three to play. Wipper meanwhile was up nine through ten holes and held off a late rally by Sofia Ruescas to win her match.

Junior Danbi Kim was in a great position to win her match with a three-hole lead after nine. Estelle Beck then battled back to take a one-hole advantage on Kim with four to play, but Kim tied it one hole later. Beck then retook the lead and scored the win for St. Mary's.

Junior Jill Schmitmeyer had a two-hole lead on Reed with only seven to play but ran into trouble on the hole three as she carded a seven. Rebecca Reed would then build a three-hole lead before Schmitmeyer cut the margin to two.

Senior Kristina Kniesly fell by six to Monica Dibildox. She found herself down one with eight holes to play, but couldn't get over the hump.
