Schmitmeyer Named G-MAC Player of the Week

Junior Jill Schmitmeyer was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Women's Golfer of the Week on Oct. 15.

Schmitmeyer led the Oilers to a runner-up finish at the prestigious LeeAnn Noble Memorial with a third place finish at 6-under par (210), the best in school history. Schmitmeyer played under par in each of her three rounds as she posted scores of 71, 70, and 69. Her strong performance allowed the Oilers to set a new school record 54-hole score of 853 (291, 284, 278).
