The Oilers finished the tournament, which was being held at the Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo., with a 54-hole score of 873 (292, 290, 291). Their three-day total is the second-best score in school history and they kept their winning streak alive in the spring as they have now been crowned champions in seven straight tournaments.

Individually, freshman Mary Kelly Mulcahy and senior Jill Schmitmeyer tied for the tournament lead after 54 holes with a 1-over par score of 214. Schmitmeyer carded a 71 in the first two rounds before shooting a 72 in the third. Mulcahy meanwhile had a 73 in the opening round, a 72 in the second, and a 2-under par 69 in the third for her total. She then beat Schmitmeyer in a playoff to take the regional title.

Senior Kristina Kniesly also continued her stellar play and finished fifth with a 218 (73, 72, 73) while freshman Erin Mulcahy tied for 16th with a 229 (75, 77, 77). Sophomore Gabby Woods also competed for Findlay at the event and finished 35th with a 238 (83, 75, 80).

As a team, the Oilers led the field with 162 pars and 35 birdies. Mary Kelly Mulcahy and Schmitmeyer each had ten birdies apiece to lead the squad.

The Oilers will now head to the NCAA Division II National Championship for the sixth time in program history. The event will take place on May 10-14 at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
