Six Earn WGCA All-American Scholar Honors

Findlay, Ohio- The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its selections for All-American Scholar honors on Tuesday, July 5. University of Findlay had six selections in total.

Senior Kristina Kniesly, senior Jill Schmitmeyer, junior Danbi Kim, sophomore Gabby Woods, freshman Mary Kelly Mulcahy, and freshman Erin Mulcahy were all tabbed with the honors. 

A total of 1,485 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor.  The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The award recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

The WGCA also announced the top 25 teams with the highest team GPA for Division I, Division II and Division III. The Oilers tied for 13th in Division II with a team GPA of 3.740.
