Findlay Travels South for Spring Debut | 7th After Day One in Tenn.

Sevierville, Tenn.- The University of Findlay women's golf team kicked off their spring campaign today, March 12 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The tournament, hosted by Tennessee Tech, boasts a predominantly Division I field. The Oilers, who won the tournament last season, currently sit in seventh after day one of competition. They recorded a 18-hole round of 306 (+22).

They were led by sophomore Mary Kelly Mulcahy. M. Mulcahy fired an opening round of 74 (+3) which included five bogeys and two birdies. She is tied for tenth.

Senior Danbi Kim finds herself in a tie for 15th after carding a round of 75 (+4). Junior Gabby Woods shot a round of 78 (+7) and is in a tie for 33rd. Senior Jill Schmitmeyer and junior Sarah Scarpill rounded out the lineup for the Oilers. They both recorded rounds of 79 (+8) and are in a tie for 45th.

Competing as an individual in the event is sophomore Erin Mulcahy. E. Mulcahy shot a round of 76 (+5) to open the tournament and finds herself in a tie for 20th.

Findlay will be back in action tomorrow, March 13 for the second of three rounds. They are scheduled to tee off at 10am.
