Gabby Woods Earns G-MAC Athlete of the Week

Findlay, Ohio – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) released their selections for Athlete of the Week on Monday, March 20. Findlay junior Gabby Woods earned the award after a standout performance last week.

Woods put together a historic performance at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, a mostly Division I event hosted by Tennessee Tech. The Sabina, Ohio native earned medalist honors, defending her title at the event which she also won the year prior. Woods fired a 54-hole score of 214 (+1) which included a second round 66 (-5), tying the G-MAC record and setting a new program record in the process.

She helped her team to a runner-up finish in that event before also helping the Oilers to a victory at the SVSU Spring Invite later in the week.

This is the third time in her career that Woods has earned G-MAC Athlete of the Week, winning once in each of the last two seasons.
