Oilers Fall at #12 Indianapolis

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team began their season with a 17-5 loss at 12th-ranked Indianapolis on Feb. 16.

The Oilers fell behind 10-2 at the half and were never able to catch up. They were outshot by a 37-15 margin and the Greyounds controlled the draws at 18-6.

Freshman Danielle Dilorenzo paced the Oilers with three goals while senior Jacelyn Litman had a goal and two assists.

Junior Ciara Burud added the Oilers other goal in the game while junior Brittany Stephens and senior Emma Spellman each picked up three ground balls.

Senior Claire Ferrell took the loss and made 13 saves in goal for Findlay.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Feb. 23 when they hit the road to face Indiana (Pa.) at 1pm.
