Lacrosse Coach Lauren Simko Resigns

Findlay, Ohio – University of Findlay Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Lauren Simko will be resigning from her position for family related reasons, effective August 9, 2019.

"I would like to thank Brandi and the entire UF community for making Findlay our home for the last three years", said Simko. "The relationships and experiences that I had at Findlay are ones that I will always cherish."

Simko came to Findlay in 2017 and, in her first year, finished with a record of 7-11. Since then, under the direction of Simko, the Oilers have had back-to-back winning seasons while playing nationally competitive schedules and have an in-conference record of 16-3. In 2019, the Oilers brought home the program's first conference championship.

"It's been incredible to watch the growth of the lacrosse program in such a short amount of time and I feel lucky to have been a part of such a great athletic department. I wish everyone nothing but the best, and as always, go Oilers!"

A nationwide search for Simko's replacement will begin immediately.
