Oilers Picked to Win G-MAC

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team was picked as the favorite to win the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in 2020 as the league office unveiled their annual preseason coaches poll on Jan. 27.

The Oilers received three first place votes and a total of 23 points in the poll to tie Tiffin University for first place. Findlay won the G-MAC Tournament last year for the first time in school history and finished the regular season with a 10-9 record.

The Oilers will be led by seniors Brittany Stephens and Ciara Burud. Stephens was voted all-Midwest Region last year and tabbed teh G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year. Burud meanwhile secured all-Midwest Region honors and a was a first team all-conference pick.
