Oilers Fall to Slippery Rock

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 12-8 against Slippery Rock University on Feb. 22 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The loss evens the Oilers record at 1-1 on the season.

The Oilers trailed 12-4 with ten minutes to play before going on a four-goal run to end the game. Overall, Slippery Rock held a 27-24 advantage in shots and a 25-21 margin in ground balls.

Junior Allie Kasprzyk and sophomore Kendra Lindell each scored two goals apiece in the loss. Sophomore Ashleigh Lesser, sophomore Liz Zatalava, senior Ciara Burud, and sophomore Adriana Santucci all added one goal apiece as well.

Burud had five ground balls while sophomore Rachel Bornstein made seven saves and recorded three ground balls. Burud also added six draw controls and four caused turnovers.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 1 when they host the University of Indianapolis at 1pm.
