Oilers Fall to Panthers 17-11

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 17-11 to Davenport University on Mar. 12 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The loss gives the Oilers a 0-3 record on the season.

The Oilers trailed 9-8 at the half, but were outscored 8-3 in the second. Davenport held a 22-10 advantage in draw controls as well which played a big factor in the game.

Senior Ciara Burud led the way with three goals, three caused turnovers, and two draws while senior Allie Kasprzyk had three goals as well.

Junior Adriana Santucci had two goals and two assists while senior Hallie Canfield picked up four ground balls.

Junior Rachel Bornstein took the loss and made nine saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Sunday when they host 2nd-ranked Lindenwood University at 12pm.
