Oilers Beat Cavaliers 15-10

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team scored a 15-10 win over Walsh University on April 11 in Canton, Ohio. The victory gives the Oilers a 2-5 record on the season with a 1-1 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers got off to a terrific start in the game and held a 5-0 lead midway through the first half. The Cavaliers then mounted a comeback and got to within one goal at 10-9 with just over 15 minutes to play in regulation before the Oilers ripped off three straight goals to end Walsh's momentum.

Senior Ciara Burud scored five goals in the win to go along with four draws and three ground balls.

Sophomore Izzy Murphy-Morrow recorded a hat trick with three goals while junior Liz Zatalava, freshman Paige Falk,and senior Allie Kasprzyk had two goals apiece.

Junior Mackenzie Cole added one goal as well in the victory.

Sophomore Amber Patterson led the defense with three ground balls while junior Kendra Lindell had six draw controls.

Junior Rachel Bornstein picked up the win and made nine saves in goal for the Oilers.
