Canfield Named Defensive Player of the Year

All-Conference Team

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team had nine players earn all-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) honors for the 2021 season. The group was highlighted by senior Hallie Canfield, who was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Canfield, who was also named first team all-conference, started all 13 games for the Oilers this season and led the squad with 35 ground balls. She also caused nine turnovers and won three ground balls during the year.

 Seniors Ciara Burud, Allie Kasprzyk, and Jordan Reineke also joined Canfield on the first team. Burud scored a team-high 45 goals to go along with 14 assists, 49 draw controls, and 29 ground balls while Kasprzyk had 18 goals and 13 assists. Reineke meanwhile picked up 23 ground balls, caused 15 turnovers, and won 15 draw controls.

Juniors Adriana Santucci, Rachel Bornstein, Kendra Lindell, and Alyson Lillibridge were all named second team all-conference while freshman Paige Falk captured third team all-conference honors.

Santucci scored 18 goals and had eight assists, Bornstein recorded 119 saves and 27 ground balls, Lindell scored 15 goals and won 43 draw controls, and Lillibridge caused eight turnovers and picked up 13 ground balls. Falk meanwhile posted 15 goals and four assists.
