Oilers Beat Arrows 19-5

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team opened up Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play with a 19-5 win over Ursuline College on March 23. The victory gives the Oilers a 2-4 record on the season with a 1-0 mark in league play.

The Oilers got off to a great start and led 7-0 after the first quarter. They then tacked on two more goals in the second before scoring five each in the third and fourth periods.

Junior Izzy Murphy-Morrow led the way with five goals while Allie Kasprzyk scored four.

Senior Liz Zatalava scored two goals and recorded an assist while seniors Kendra Lindell and Mackenzie Cole found the back of the net twice during the win.

Amber Patterson picked up two ground balls and caused two turnovers for the defense while Rachel Bornstein picked up the win by making two saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 27 when they face Lake Erie College at 12pm in Painesville, Ohio.
