Oilers Smack Storm | Win 19-5

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team defeated Lake Erie College by a score of 18-5 on April 6 in Painesville, Ohio. The win gives the Oilers a 4-5 record on the season with a 3-0 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers jumped out to a huge lead at the break as they outscored the Storm 14-2 in the first two quarters. Senior Rachel Bornstein picked up the win by only allowing five goals to go along with 11 saves.

Senior Danielle Dilorenzo had a huge game offensively for Findlay, scoring six goals, while senior Allie Kasprzyk had four goals and one assist. Senior Mackenzie Cole added three goals while freshman Olivia Alvarado had two goals and an assist.

Senior Adriana Santucci posted four assists while senior Kendra Lindell had a goal and an assist while senior Liz Zatalava had two goals and one assist apiece. Lindell also tied the school record for draw controls again, posting 13 in the win.

Senior Ashleigh Lesser added the other goal for Findlay.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Friday when they host Ashland University at 4pm.
