Oilers Take Down Wildcats | Dilorenzo Joins 100 Goal Club

Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team welcome the Wildcats of Daemen University to the Armstrong Sports Complex.The Oilers proved to much for the first year program, winning 17-10. With the win, the Oilers improve to 2-6 on the season.  

The game was back-and-forth early but it was the Oilers who ended the first quarter ahead by one. It continued to be back-and-forth until Findlay scored four consecutive goals within three minutes. The Oilers ended the first half 10-7. The Oilers continued to outscore the Wildcats through the second half and ultimately claimed the 17-10 victory.   

Senior Danielle Dilorenzo had a standout game, scoring her 100th career goal early in the first quarter. She joins the 100 Goal Club as just the eighth Oiler to reach the milestone. She went on to add a total of six goals to the Oilers score, as well as one ground ball, a draw control and a caused turnover.  

Freshman Tessa Chuba found the back of the net twice, had four draw controls, caused one turnover and had two ground balls. Sophomore Olivia Alvarado shone on the circle grabbing eight draw controls for Findlay.  

Senior Izzy Murphy-Morrow totaled five goals for the Oilers as well as recording two ground balls and causing three turnovers. Junior Madeline Shewbridge had three goals and two assists. Senior goalie Rachel Bornstein saved ten shots throughout the game.  

The Oilers will be back in action Thursday, Mar. 23 when they play Davenport at Armstrong Sports Complex at 3:30pm.
