Roughnecks Academics Ranked Fifth Nationally
Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay wrestling team has been named by the Division II Wrestling Association as an all-academic team. Teams are ranked from top to bottom by team grade point average. The Team GPA is calculated by averaging the cumulative grade point averages of ten wrestlers from each team of which eight of those wrestlers must have competed in their team's NCAA II National Qualifying Tournament.
The Roughnecks check in at number five on the list of schools with a team GPA of 3.285. They are one of five teams from the Midwest region to be in the top-20 and with the number five spot, are they highest ranked team in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
Rankings were released on Wednesday, March 16.
