3 Roughnecks Win at Maryville

Results

The University of Findlay wrestling team performed well at the Maryville Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open on Nov. 9 as three Roughnecks won their weight classes.

Branson Proudlock, Chase Moore, and Keigan Yuhas all captured individual titles at the event. Branson Proudlock won the Amateur 141 bracket with a 4-0 mark and bested Illinois' Trey Piotrowski 5-1 in the finals. Chase Moore won the Amateur 157 class by going 4-0 and defeated McKendree's Joshua Ramos 3-1 in the finals. Finally, Yuhas went 4-0 in the Amateur 197 class, winning 6-0 against Maryville's Evan Brooks in the finals.

Nate Vandermeer nearly captured an individual title after finishing second in the Elite 174 with a 2-1 record. Danny Rosales finished fourth in the Amateur 184 with a 2-2 record while Zach Collins and Hunter Reed each finished with sixth place finishes. Collins was 2-3 in the Elite 125 while Reed was 4-3 in the Amateur 165.
