Oilers Suffer Second Overtime Loss In A Row

The University of Findlay women's soccer team was defeated 2-1 by Saginaw Valley State University on Friday, Oct. 26 in Findlay, Ohio.

Three minutes into action, the Oilers struck first when Brittany Guglielmi crossed to Megan Gallaway who finished with a diving header into the back of the net.

Saginaw would tie the game in the 14th minute, then finish the Oilers in overtime for the 2-1 victory.

Findlay dominated Saginaw in the shots, 21-9 for the game and were able to put eight shots on goal compared to Saginaw's seven.

Samantha Trimboli took the loss for the Oilers between the pipes with five saves.

With the loss, Findlay moves to 7-8-1 overall, with a 7-4-1 mark in GLIAC play. They will be back in action on Sunday Oct. 28 for their final regular season game of the year.
