The University of Findlay women's soccer team was defeated 2-1 in the GLIAC quarterfinal matchup against Ferris State University on Tuesday, Oct. 30 in Findlay Ohio.
The Oilers got on the board first on a Ferris State own goal after a cross was deflected in by a Ferris State defender in the 20th minute of the first half.
After 40 minutes of play, Ferris State found their equalizer in the 63rd minute of the second half.
It looked as though the game would go into overtime on a wet, muddy field, however Ferris was able to score with 12 seconds left in the match for the game-winning goal.
The Oilers end their season with a record of 8-9-1, and an 8-5-1 mark in GLIAC matchups.
