Oilers Defeated by Timberwolves

Findlay, OH- The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost to the Northwood University Timberwolves Sunday, September 25 at DeHaven Field. This loss gives the Oilers a 2-5 overall record and a 1-1 conference record.

The majority of play in the first half was in the middle of the field, as the Oilers and Timberwolves fought to put the ball in the back of the net.

With four minutes left to go in the first half, the Timberwolves scored from the top of the box to end the half with a lead 1-0.

At the end of the first half, Findlay had six shots with three shots on goal compared to Northwood's five shots with two shots on goal.

In the second half, with five minutes left to go in the game, the Timberwolves put the ball in the back of the net from inside the box to end the game2-0 in favor of Northwood University.

Throughout the game, the Oilers attained nine shots to the Timberwolves eleven shots.  Junior goalkeeper Sarah Baer had five saves while Northwood also had five saves.

The Oilers will take the field again on Tuesday, September 27 against Cedarville University at 4:00pm.
