3 Oilers Earn All-Region Honors

The University of Findlay women's soccer team had three players earn all-Midwest Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches on Dec. 9. Freshman Jayla Campbell and junior Lindsey Ahbe were each named second team while senior Sierra Peacock was awarded third team honors.

Campbell, who earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Freshman of the Year accolades, scored nine goals for the Oilers in her first season with the program. The first team all-conference selection also led the team with five game-winning scores and recorded two assists on the year. She was also voted first team all-Midwest Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).

Ahbe, who was a first team all-conference pick, spearheaded the Oilers defense, which allowed only nine goals the entire season. She was a second team all-Midwest Region selection by the D2CCA as well.

Peacock earned first team all-conference honors and was a second team all-region pick by the D2CCA. She led the squad with ten goals and 23 points. She also contributed two game-winning scores on the year.
