Oilers Hire Trip Rogers as Women's Soccer Head Coach

Findlay, Ohio – On Monday, March 23, the University of Findlay Director of Athletics Brandi Laurita has named Trip Rogers as head coach of the Oilers' women's soccer program. Trip becomes just the fourth head coach in the program's 30-year history.

Most recently, Coach Rogers spent five years as an assistant at Morehead State University, an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. While at MSU, Coach Rogers' responsibilities included recruiting coordination, goalkeeper training, system implementation, film and tactical review, team study hours, and more. Prior to arriving at Morehead State in 2015, Rogers spend five years as the women's head coach at Midway College in Midway, Kentucky.

"We are thrilled to welcome Trip to our Oiler family as our new women's soccer coach", said Laurita. "He has a wide range of experiences and a passion for the intricacies of the game of soccer that have us excited to see what he can accomplish here at Findlay. We are proud of our ladies and thank them for their patience and leadership in this transition and cannot wait to see how much more they can accomplish under their new head coach."

Coach Rogers said, "My wife Jill and I are incredibly thankful to Brandi Laurita, (Senior Associate Athletic Director) Jim Givens, and the entire Findlay athletics department for the opportunity to be a member of the Oilers women's soccer program. Having a campus with a phenomenal sense of community, support, and guidance, we will cherish the continued growth of the student-athletes and the competition in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference."

Rogers will live in Findlay with his wife Jill. They have one son, Chance, who is a graduate of Hanover College in Indiana.
